The new building program has presented the Manchester Essex Regional School District with the opportunity to design a middle school program that truly meets the needs of youth in the transition period between childhood and full adolescence. Upon completion of the project in 2009 students in grade 6 will become part of the Middle School for the first time.
Students in grades 6 through grade 8 have unique features that distinguish them from both their elementary and high school counterparts. Addressing these social, emotional and academic characteristics and needs throughout the school program will help ensure success for each student.
